Te Kete Tuatahi
Our Stage 1 course, Te Kete Tuatahi, uses conversations to engage different types of learners and achieve fast results.
The aim is to provide a structured, self-paced programme that can be delivered electronically as part of a distance training programme or taught through the more conventional face-to-face approach.
It is for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of te reo Māori and it is a valuable resource for in-house training or people unable to attend classes.

Cultureflow Te Kete Tuatahi (Stage one) includes the following course concepts:
Pronunciation; greetings; telling people who you are; asking how people are; telling people how you feel; acknowledging people; asking where and what something is; asking where someone is going.
counting 1 – 1000; asking how many; saying yes or no in Mâori.
Personal pronouns; saying where something is located; asking how old people are; commands; past, present and future tenses; asking where something/someone was located; asking and telling the time; asking about someone’s tribal links; this, that, there, here, there by you and over there; days of the week and months of the year;
Asking how much something is; saying who possesses something; commenting on quality; asking a person to pass something (please);
Warning people; asking questions from statements; asking and saying who had something; giving your opinion and giving options; making comparisons.
