Pomare Sidney ~ Hawkes Bay Tutor
Tēnā koutou ngā manu houhare e ngākau nui nei ki to tātou reo Māori. He uri tēnei no Ngāti Porou, a, Ko Pomare Sidney tōku ingoa. I have recently completed a BA Māori and a graduate's diploma in teaching (secondary) and am currently teaching in Hawke's Bay.
I am passionate about all aspects of te reo Maori me ona tikanga and really enjoy teaching, learning and most of all being with others who have a passion for such a beautiful language. My future aspirations are to pass on what knowledge I have to our younger generation and others who are willing to learn and lastly to ensure we all recognise the importance of our language, ko te reo kia tika, kia rere, kia Māori.

I am currently completing post-graduate studies in Management at Victoria University of Wellington. Learning te reo me ōna tikanga has been a life long passion of mine and teaching te reo me ōna tikanga is a fulfilling and enjoyable career. I strive to ensure that my teaching style is interactive, informative and inclusive. Not only to I enjoy teaching others, but I also enjoy learning from others and finding ways to continously improve my delivery of te reo me ōna tikanga.

Kia ora my name is Hinekura Hollis, I am currently studying towards my Honours in Psychology as well as working. I am interested in many things that involve getting out there and enjoying what life has to offer! Emma Gardiner – Wellington Tutor

I am completing my final semester undertaking a Bachelor of Design majoring in Digital Media and a Bachelor of Arts in Te Reo Maori and Maori studies. I have also studied under Te Ataarangi.
I am passionate about new and innovative ways in which Te Reo Maori education can be delivered. I believe that the successful attainment of Te Reo Maori can be achieved through highlighting the relevance of Te Reo me ona Tikanga in all contexts of society.

WHY I LIKE TEACHING TE REO: Tku reo, töku ohooho, töku reo töku whakakai mārihi! Te Reo Māori is my passion! I love being surrounded by Te Reo, no matter what level the speakers are! As well as helping them, I feel teaching Te Reo helps me gain a better understanding of the language, and its technicalities.
It will be awesome when Te Reo Māori is not only being spoken on the marae, or in the classroom, but when it becomes a nationwide means of communication.
